Deacon Richard attended the Academy of Orthodox Theology in Isla Vista, CA from 1978-1980 and was ordained a Deacon in February 1987 by Metropolitan PHILIP of Blessed Memory.
He’s been married to Lisa Haselton Jones for over forty years (since December 1977) and has four adult children: Rachel, Rebekah, Laura and Jonathan.
He’s a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a major in marketing and a minor in management and has been a Commercial Real Estate Broker since the year he was ordained.
Deacon Richard enjoys traveling and has an interest in history. He’s also a football fan – both college and pro.
