Our Mission
The mission of Saint Ignatius Antiochian Orthodox Church is to spread the gospel, love and compassion of Jesus Christ to each individual it encounters and to the community within which it serves, manifesting the fullness of God’s Church by remaining steadfastly faithful to the theology, worship, traditions and practices of the Orthodox Church.
Our History
Saint Ignatius was established in February 1987, when around 200 were chrismated by Metropolitan Philip. Four men were ordained deacons (Deacons Edward Martin, Richard Jones, Keith Hansen, and Michael Hyatt) and three men were ordained priests (Father Gordon Walker, Father Stephen Rogers, and Father Bob Sanford).
The land where the church is located was bought by Father Gordon. He and his wife were known for their gracious hospitality.
The first church was built in 1986 and was later expanded. The current church building was built in 2012.
Currently, Father Philip (and Matushka Sarah) Begley serves as Pastor.
